Paver Sealing & Polymeric Sand in Demarest, NJ

Re-sand and seal your pavers to lock out weeds, stains and wash-out for years.

Paver Sealing & Polymeric Sand in Demarest, NJ

If you own a home off Piermont Road, County Road, or up near the Demarest border with Cresskill, you already know what our freeze-thaw winters do to a paver patio. Snow gets plowed, salt gets tracked in, and by spring the sand between your pavers has washed out, weeds are coming up in the joints, and everything looks dull and gray. That's the point where most Demarest homeowners call us.

Gallo Bros is a family-owned North Jersey exterior cleaning company, and paver sealing is one of the services we take the most pride in. Demarest has a lot of established colonials and newer custom builds on wooded, sloping lots, which means drainage and runoff are real factors here. We don't just spray sealer and leave. We deep-clean the surface, replace the joints with polymeric sand so they lock and shed water, and then apply a sealer matched to your pavers—whether you want a natural matte or a wet look.

We're honest about what sealing can and can't do, and we'll tell you straight if your pavers aren't ready yet. No pressure, no filler—just a clear quote and clean work.

Gallo Bros did an amazing job power-washing my home and roof. They assured me that if I had any concerns they would avail themselves to resolve them. After the cleaning a few leaves blocked the gutter after a heavy rain. They responded quickly and courteously, removing the blockage touched up ,y skylights as well. Before leaving they made sure I was satisfied. Oscar and his team came a few weeks later and sanded and sealed my paver walkway. They were polite and professional, explaining what they were doing, how long it would take, and instructions to ensure the best possible result. What I loved most was the professionalism in their communication. There were several days that we were rescheduled due to heavy rains and storms. The first thing they assured us of was their intent to make sure the job was done correctly. They would not come out to do the work, only to have it washed away. They stayed in contact every step of the way and I felt more than comfortable that the job would get completed the right way. If they couldn’t reach h me by phone they always left a voicemail or sent a text. I just happened to call them first in my search for roof cleaning, but I will never have to look further for these services again. I was really so impressed. Thank you Gallo Bros!

Awesome experience. I called and left a message over a weekend, they called me back quickly and schedule appointment. Lucas showed up on time dress in press shirt and paints with a iPad taking notes and pictures. Provided a very reasonable quote and scheduled appointment. The truck 3 team showed up earlier than scheduled and could not have been any nicer. The had a small problem with gear and let me know. Ther office also called and apologized to inform me of the problem. Truck 3 team came back and finished the job. The job they did was excellent. You can see on before pictures I had staining around window where shutters were installed. The after picture you can hardly tell. Super professional, kind and fair price. Wish all vendors were as professional and trustworthy as worthy as Gallo Bros is.

Paver Sealing & Polymeric Sand in Demarest — FAQ

How often should I reseal my pavers in Demarest?

In our climate, most sealed pavers hold up about 3 to 5 years before they need a refresh. Bergen County's freeze-thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy summer sun all wear sealer down faster than in milder regions. We'll check yours and give you an honest timeline rather than talking you into work you don't need.

What's polymeric sand and why does it matter?

Polymeric sand fills the joints between your pavers and hardens when activated with water. It locks the pavers together, resists weeds, and helps water run off instead of pooling—which matters on Demarest's sloped, wooded lots. We remove the old washed-out sand first, then install fresh poly sand before sealing.

Can you seal pavers that already have weeds and moss?

Yes, but not on day one. We first clean and treat the surface, remove weeds and moss from the joints, and let everything dry. Sealing over dirty or damp pavers traps the problem underneath. Proper prep is most of the job—the sealing is the easy part.

Do you service just Demarest or the surrounding towns too?

We're a North Jersey company and regularly work Demarest, Cresskill, Closter, Haworth, and the surrounding Bergen County towns. If you're near the Demarest line, just ask—we almost certainly cover you.

Will sealing change the color of my pavers?

It can, depending on the sealer you choose. A natural or matte sealer keeps pavers looking close to dry. A 'wet look' sealer deepens and enriches the color. We'll show you the difference before we commit so you get the finish you actually want.

How much does paver sealing cost in NJ?

Most patios and driveways run about $1.50–$3.50 per square foot depending on condition and sealer. We clean, re-sand and seal — and quote it all up front, free.

What is polymeric sand and why does it matter?

Polymeric sand goes in the joints between pavers and hardens when wet. It locks the pavers in place and blocks weeds, ants and wash-out far better than regular sand.

How long does paver sealing last?

Usually 3–5 years before a re-seal, depending on traffic and sun. Sealing also brings back the color and makes the surface much easier to keep clean.

Do you clean the pavers first?

Always. We deep-clean, remove old failing sand, re-sand the joints with polymeric sand, then seal. Sealing dirty pavers just locks the dirt in — we never skip the prep.
