When is the best time to seal pavers in Towaco?
Late spring through early fall. Pavers need to be fully dry with a few dry days in the forecast, which is tough in our humid, shaded yards near the Rockaway River. We avoid sealing before rain or in a cold snap so it cures properly.
Do you replace the sand between the pavers?
Yes. Before sealing we re-sand the joints with polymeric sand, which hardens to lock the pavers in place and reduces weeds and washout, something Towaco patios deal with after every big storm off the flood plain.
My pavers have white haze on them. Can you fix that?
That's usually efflorescence, a natural mineral deposit common on newer pavers and lighter stone we see a lot around here. We clean it before sealing. If pavers are very new, we may recommend waiting until they've cured.
How long does paver sealing last?
Generally a few years depending on sun exposure, traffic, and how much shade and moisture the area gets. Shaded Towaco patios under heavy tree cover may need attention sooner. We'll give you an honest read on your specific setup.

Always. We deep-clean, remove old failing sand, re-sand the joints with polymeric sand, then seal. Sealing dirty pavers just locks the dirt in — we never skip the prep.
