Paver Sealing & Polymeric Sand in Oldwick, NJ

Re-sand and seal your pavers to lock out weeds, stains and wash-out for years.

Paver Sealing & Polymeric Sand in Oldwick, NJ

Oldwick is a small, historic corner of Tewksbury Township where a lot of homes sit back off winding roads like Old Turnpike and King Street, surrounded by mature trees and rolling Hunterdon County countryside. That setting is beautiful, but it's tough on pavers. Shade from all those oaks and maples means patios and walkways stay damp longer, which invites moss, algae, and that slick green film in the joints. Add in the leaf litter every fall and you've got organic staining that only gets worse if it's left to sit.

Then there's the weather. North Jersey winters put pavers through repeated freeze-thaw cycles, and when the sand washes out of the joints, bricks start to shift, wobble, and let weeds through. We seal pavers and re-set the joints with polymeric sand so everything locks back together and sheds water instead of soaking it up.

We're Gallo Bros, a family-owned exterior cleaning company covering Oldwick and the surrounding Tewksbury and Hunterdon towns. Before we seal anything, we clean it properly, let it dry, and re-sand the joints. No shortcuts, no sealing over dirt or moss. If your patio or driveway pavers are looking tired, we'll give you an honest look at what they actually need.

We hired Gallo Bros Power Washing to power wash, re-sand and seal our 20 year old paver patio and front walk. They also performed a few repairs and reset a few areas that needed attention. We had never had this done professionally before. From the beginning estimating phase to the final coat of sealer, we were very happy with the services provided, the price and the final result, which they also warrantee for 1 year. I highly recommend Gallo Bros. Power Washing and will use them for other services in the future.

Holiday Outdoor Lighting Gallo Brothers Experience I always wanted outdoor lighting - but, never felt comfortable with other roof lighting companies - people, creativity/passion, equipment safety, timing - ability to handle challenging roof layout …. and concerns regarding ability to deliver The Gallo Brothers checked all of the boxes: Incredibly professional Went above and beyond - the roof was a challenge - other companies wanted to do lights along gutter line only because the roof had too many steep peaks and Gallo Brothers created a custom lighting solution across the entire roof. They had complete confidence that they could deliver and they killed it.. The Gallo Brothers are bright, young and hungry …. Experience for me was totally stress free The Gallo Brothers offered Creative design options/solutions They have the appropriate equipment to perform work in a safe efficient manner The Gallo Brothers Team was not only friendly and kind but, highly skilled. They were focused and enjoyed doing their job. They were very careful with equipment and determining safest way to get around complex roof and lawn and landscape Efficiency and punctuality are hallmarks of Gallo Brothers service I just chose the bulb color ... and had them walk me through all of the options. The pricing was fair and reasonable compared to their competitors. The other competitors were more expensive and offering was a lower level product (example - boring gutter line lights vs entire roof lighting experience) The Gallo Brothers were very transparent throughout entire process They over delivered from the picture that they designed and I approved in the beginning The work and lighting product experience speaks for itself - family, neighbors and friends love it I was blown away when the lights came on the night that I was home with family. It was such an incredible experience. I didn’t want to leave home for family event that night. It brightened up the entire block and created many smiles My kids asked me why I didn’t do the home lighting many years ago …. I would strongly recommend the Gallo Brothers to anyone who wants to light up their home and neighborhood and who want a hungry team of skilled professionals - who love what they do - and will design and deliver a bright experience with no stress. *I would also recommend locking them in soon before their capacity is dedicated to my neighbors and friends who were very impressed with them

Paver Sealing & Polymeric Sand in Oldwick — FAQ

Do you clean pavers before sealing them in Oldwick?

Yes, always. Sealing over dirt, moss, or algae traps the problem underneath and leads to a cloudy, peeling finish. We soft wash or clean the pavers first, let them fully dry, re-sand the joints with polymeric sand, then seal. With all the tree cover around Oldwick, that cleaning step matters even more.

What is polymeric sand and why do my paver joints need it?

Polymeric sand is a joint sand mixed with binders that harden when activated with water. It locks pavers together, resists weeds, and stops the joint sand from washing out. In North Jersey's freeze-thaw winters, regular sand erodes fast, which is why we recommend polymeric sand as part of a proper seal.

When is the best time to seal pavers in Hunterdon County?

Late spring through early fall is ideal, when temperatures are mild and you can count on a dry stretch. Pavers need to be fully dry and rain-free for a good bit before and after sealing, which is harder to guarantee in the wet shoulder seasons here.

How often should pavers be resealed?

It depends on sun exposure, traffic, and the sealer used, but most residential pavers benefit from resealing every few years. Shaded, damp areas common in Oldwick may need attention sooner because of moss and algae regrowth.

Do you service the roads and areas around Oldwick?

Yes. We cover Oldwick and the greater Tewksbury Township area, including homes off Old Turnpike Road and King Street, plus neighboring Hunterdon County towns. If you're not sure whether you're in our range, just ask.

How much does paver sealing cost in NJ?

Most patios and driveways run about $1.50–$3.50 per square foot depending on condition and sealer. We clean, re-sand and seal — and quote it all up front, free.

What is polymeric sand and why does it matter?

Polymeric sand goes in the joints between pavers and hardens when wet. It locks the pavers in place and blocks weeds, ants and wash-out far better than regular sand.

How long does paver sealing last?

Usually 3–5 years before a re-seal, depending on traffic and sun. Sealing also brings back the color and makes the surface much easier to keep clean.

Do you clean the pavers first?

Always. We deep-clean, remove old failing sand, re-sand the joints with polymeric sand, then seal. Sealing dirty pavers just locks the dirt in — we never skip the prep.
